The Art of Not Overthinking

I didn’t know my next blog would again be on ‘overthinking’, but one of my teachers gave me an assignment to review The Art of Not Overthinking by Shaurya Kapoor. Of course, I didn’t want to disappoint him (or walk past him with my head down in shame, lol). So, here we go.

The book is just 80 pages long, with short paragraphs on every page. One can finish it in almost no time. But me being me, I only managed to get through 2 chapters around 46 pages. I know, I know… a bit spoiled. Anyway, back to the review.

The book is written in a conversational style, almost as if it’s talking directly to you. It motivates readers by pointing out how often we doubt ourselves whether it’s about small decisions or relationships and how negative thoughts can overpower our potential. It also shares what should and shouldn’t tell ourselves (definitely not the things I said in the last line of the second paragraph, lol). This book gives us statements in between to remind ourselves to be at peace.

In my opinion, this book is perfect for anyone who keeps doubting themselves and letting their negative side take the spotlight. It’s simple, light, and can be read in under 2 hours unlike me, who took much longer (Oh my God, I did it again!).
